Pen, inks and paper are the elements that Manolo Fuster uses to paint.
Pen-nib: metal instrument, which is used to write and draw; nowadays Fuster´s works obligates us to change this definition: write, draw and paint.
Ink: prepared liquid in colloidal suspension, the well-known Chinese ink, is mainly employed to draw "al lavado" and for the pen-nib, as well as to paint.
Paper: fold leaf made with vegetal fibres; special papers exist for painting and we can choose: the texture, the absorption and the thickness or weight which is most appropiate.
The painter Manolo Fuster possesses a lot of faith and an unbreakable will to carry out, with these elements, the pictorial proceeding.
With the pen-nib, of three tenths of a millimetre, he makes dots and lines.
In the preparation of the colours is reflected the painter´s subtleness; he personalizes them and, with glutenous liquid, reduces the insensity ans keeps the fluency, creating the range of each colour.
The white paper, holder of all the light, receives the clean and translucent colours.
The artist needs to work to realise his restlessness, he scratches his belly or his head and he listens to what his body tells him, what kind of emotion, feeling or experience will be the origin of his next work. He creates it and makes it visible, he elaborates it and transfoms it, some of them are purified by the fire and others are worked out and finished. The human figure and the cultural environment are the basic themes that define and give form to the works Fuster composes and expresses. He realises his work through steady devotion and he enjoys it, we admire him and share his joy.
The concept, the professional ethic and the beauty make Manolo´s work singular and impressive, recognised and accepted beyond our frontieres.
